No Response

I am starting to get concerned. I have not heard from Jokyshe in over a month now and there is word that the battle is not faring well. I have tried to remain positive, but I can’t help but fear the worst. My heart is really aching with the thought that my first love might have fallen. Or worst, what if he was captured. Knowing that the king would never allow a rescue at the expense of his men, nor would Jokyshe want to be rescued if it cost the lives of any of his men, he would be forever trapped with no hope for escape.
I have tried to consume my time with my studies, but every time I start, my thoughts wander away. There is good news, though. Rumor has it that the king’s personal messenger was sent to the battle front to ascertain what was going on. The king’s messenger supposedly left late last week, so he should be back in a few more days. I can only pray and trust Thysiami that he will carry Jokyushe through any problems he might be facing. When the messenger returns I will update you on the news. Hopefully, it doesn’t bring tears to my eyes…
